Pro-Public Safety

We must prioritize policy changes and approaches that support our community here in the Mat-Su Borough, particularly those who have been most harmed by weak public safety policies. I am committed to working diligently to enhance the safety of our citizens.

EDUCATION

I am Pro-School Choice- which can give students an education tailored to their needs and creates direct accountability for parents. Students participating in school choice programs are significantly more likely to graduate from high school. Our families deserve a choice.

INFRASTRUCTURE

We need better roads! Poorly maintained roads can both directly and indirectly affect many areas of daily life, from causing traffic disturbances to lowering property values over time. Studies have also shown that investments in transportation often signal progress, creating a sense of accomplishment and pride for local citizens.

OPEN DOOR

I am entering the race due to the dissatisfaction expressed by individuals in our area regarding current affairs. They have witnessed my performance as the Emergency Director for the Borough, Fire Chief, airline traffic controller, and veteran. Encouraged by my record, many have requested that I run for office, and I pledge an open-door policy to our community.

Bill Gamble, a seasoned professional and long-time Alaskan, is a candidate for the Mat-Su Borough Assembly, District 5. An Anchorage native, he has spent a significant portion of his life in Alaska, barring his years at college and military service. Bill's distinguished career is underscored by his notable aviation and emergency services achievements. Post-military service, he pursued the Federal Aviation Air Traffic Control Academy. Subsequently, he served the Anchorage Air Traffic Control Center for 26 years, gaining national recognition and contributing to pivotal modernization and safety enhancement initiatives. His dedication to service also took him to Big Lake in 1989, where he became an integral part of the local volunteer fire department.
